Need help to complete the GMC headlight kit.
What are the size of the GMC headlights? I am going to do a test next weekend without locating a local GMC, and if all goes well I will have a kit available for the 67-72 GMC's!
It looks like the GMC will not be a kit like the Chevy's here you just plug & play. On the GMC kit you will have to cut your old connectors off the headlight harness. The kit will come with the new connectors, correct low and high beam headlights and the 4 headlamps. I'll keep you posted, until then...... Church

ALSO, JUST TO LET YOU KNOW I DIDN'T CHANGE ANY OF THE CONNECTORS. THE HIGH BEAMS IN THE CENTER ARE FOR 2 PRONG BUT IF YOU TRIM IT A BIT ACROSS THE TOP IT WORKS FINE!

Ya Church - you the man! Please hook us GMC guys with the maximum wattage (candle power?) possible! I wanna burn down trees & blind ricers with the kit you are creating! Better headlights I think is the best money spent in terms of an upgrade imop. Please keep us posted!!!

lites
Do not remember the pn off hand but I know they were in a GE box that I bought at napa. As for the power I had to use a relay that was activated when I hit the dimmer switch to keep the voltage up. I will see if I can find the box--don't think I emptied the trash can yet.

Seconded...with all of the night driving I do, I should really upgrade my headlights again (already did once, from heinously old ones to slightly more modern halogens but not H4's)
I figure one of these days, I'll do both the H4 and relay setups...

First off special thanks to gmc67swb! Ok, here's the deal. The 5 3/4" head lamps with h-4's will work on the GMCs.
Here is what gmc67swb wrote to me about his setup: THE LOWS, AS YOU PROBABLY KNOW, ARE THE OUTSIDE LIGHTS AND THE HIGHS ARE ALL 4.THE OUTSIDE LIGHTS PLUG RIGHT IN(3 PRONG).ONE PRONG IS FOR GROUND, ONE FOR LOW BEAM AND ONE FOR HIGH BEAM. THE INSIDE ARE 2 PRONG(ONE GROUND AND ONE HIGH BEAM) AND REQUIRE TRIMMING OFF THE TOP FOR THE 3RD PRONG TO FIT OVER(THIS LEAVES IT EXPOSED, BUT I HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS YET-1 YEAR AND COUNTING). IF YOU WANTED YOU COULD GET THE SAME PLUG AS THE LOW BEAMS AND COVER THE 3RD PRONG ON THE BULB(NOT USED) OR YOU COULD WIRE THEM TO HAVE 4 LIGHTS ON IN LOW BEAM (JUMPING FROM THE LOW BEAM WIRE TO THE TOP PRONG ON THE BULB)AND 4 IN HIGH BEAM. With this setup, I highly recommend rewiring your switch to go through a relay. I have not found a supplier for the connectors yet, but this setup will work without the new connectors. It would be killer to have a GMC running 100 watt super white xenons on all four lights! You guys are going to light up the world with 400 watts of super white light!!

I just emailed the AZ MVD about whether or not four low-beams at once would be legal...
Can't wait until I finally get a chance to pull this off. Between driving my dad's Mercedes and my mom's TrailBlazer, which both have killer headlights, I've definitely realized mine need some help...

OK-Church-are you saying that one could use the factory plug with h4 bulbs with a bit of modification? Mabe one could heatshrink it to keep water out.... Could i get the 5 3/4 lamps & the 100 watt super white xenons from you? pricing? I've got a couple of relays & you're right-i'll use them to avoid having to cvall the fire dept. over a burnt truck! Thanks super much for your help!

Why not take a small cutoff wheel from a drimel and cut off the lowbeam tab?
