Re: AC Delco

Sometimes it's the box that the part is in that's made in America not the part itself.
A good many AC parts are made elsewhere but that's nothing new. Go to the dealer and buy a brake light switch or neutral safety switch and you're likely to find them made in Mex or Canada. Nothing new there.

Re: AC Delco

Its really hard to tell with companies rebranding and reboxing. The part you thing it is may not be made where the box says. All major part suppliers do it. If a company buys out another they will remove the parts from the old company and rebox with theirs. They warrantee it like it was their own.

No...havent been for years. I dont think its even a true brand anymore per se...its usually some generic brand part rebadge/reboxed in the ol white and blue...

Re: AC Delco

Many, many of the parts on our truck were made in canada. I have a NOS interior window crank from a 1969 RS/SS camaro and it is cast "made in canada" on the back of the handle. So that's been going on for the last 42 years at least
