axle flip question
ok so im gonna do an axle flip on my 83 stepside other than the obvious perches do i need to replace or modify anything and how bad will it look til i get the front done? and should i just cut the springs in front?

The flip brackets not only position the axle above the spring-pack, it physically positions/relocates the housing to compensate for the drop (helps center the wheels in the wheel well). It's recommended to replace the u-bolts when servicing/swapping. The shock relocators are needed to get better travel geometry for the shocks.

There is nothing wrong with cutting stock springs as long as you don't get them too hot. One coil will get you +/- 2" so you will still need more up front if you plan to set fairly level.

ok i am wanting to lower my 72 it has leaf springs can i do the same or do i need to do something else ?????

You just need a flip kit for the earlier 67-72 2.25" width leafs. Check the DJM line of products from one of our supporting vendors.
