Re: Who needs a lift?

I think I'd rather back that car on since the front has all the weight. It's the span between that would worry me. A prop at mid-span wouldn't be in the way.

FYI,this isn't 67-72 truck related,so you should have posted this in General Disco.

Never bet your life on a hydraulic hose. You lift that truck up, get under it, and a hose pops, you're toast. Stupid.

ALMOST as stupid as people who have somebody lift them up in a front end loader.

Re: Who needs a lift?

When we were shopping for a house, there was a house that had a 5' deep hole in the backyard.... they had a Jeep that they worked on, and just drove the Jeep so the tires were on either side of the ditch. Presto! Instant work pit.

We didn't buy the house.

Here-Hold my beer and watch this!

Actually, I have a friend who has a nice concrete grease pit at his house. I poured the concrete for it. It is part of his front porch, you just need to move the covering boards off, and the porch furniture, and drive on!

Re: Who needs a lift?

Wow neither one looks all that safe. The first one looks like almost nothing holding it up and ya the second one would be hella scary if a line broke loose which I know they can do!
