Re: Sway bar? Need help

swaybars were an option on these trucks

if you are going to use it old school on fam lots and backroads and keeping it under 40mph you dont need a sway bar // if you plan on highway aand other paved road type of drivin use a sway bar it is a great upgrade

Re: Sway bar? Need help

I noticed a WORLD of difference after I installed one. I got mine off a 76 half ton Chevy.

Just picked one up! wrecker score. have to drill out the big a55 rivets now.
I hear I need brackets because the truck is lowered.

Re: Sway bar? Need help

you don't NEED a sway bar, like you don't NEED shocks. Best upgrade for the money hands down.

Re: Sway bar? Need help

Will not own one of these trucks without putting a sway bar on. You can get all the parts from the yard cheap, put in new bushings and BAM.....Its ON......

I usually pull them off a 73 and up, get the bar, brackets and your set. The brackets have to have the rivets removed from the frame.
