Look What I Drug Home Today!!
Yes it is a Nascar truck, DEI built, driven by Ron Hornaday. It's either 1997 or 98, not sure yet. It is a bit rough, but restore-able. Not sure what I'm going to do with it just yet. First thing is clean it up, and straighten some pieces and then take photos of the whole family around it. Pretty cool huh?

Re: Look What I Drug Home Today!!
Actually a paint and body guy had it. It has been sitting in a field forgotten of it's history. Guy needed money and called me. It's missing quite a few pieces, but it's still a Dale Earnhardt Inc. race car(truck). Tiffany Motorsports builds chassis, I think for Hendrick and others. I would love to stick a motor in it and play with it, just to say I owned and drove a Nascar truck. LOL The plan is to clean it up and Ebay it. Surely someone would like to have it in their collection. Hopefully someone with a lot more money than me.

Re: Look What I Drug Home Today!!
Too cool! I thought I would be the only one here with one. Yours looks real nice compared to mine. I'll pass on the racing thing, I don't think I could push it fast enough. Very cool!

LOL, it's not really mine, belongs to a friend. he got from a vocational school. The race team had donated it to the school, and the school sold it.

Re: Look What I Drug Home Today!!
That truck is sweet! Great score, definitely something that needed to be rescued.

Re: Look What I Drug Home Today!!
Who in their right mind could just forget that in a field!??!!!
Do you have an autocross club around where you are? That would be the perfect chance to run that truck! I'd toss in a 350 with as much power as I could afford, or maybe even grab a junkyard 5.3L since they are more high revving like an old 327 and you can get a low mileage 5.3 with computer and harness for cheap. Back that with a Muncie 4 speed and you'd really be having some fun.
