Duplicolor Paint Shop products

Anyone ever use them??
I need to paint my truck and was seriously thinking about just rattle canning it black for now but this may be an option.

It says it must be clear coated so i was thinking a jet black with a matt finish clear coat.

Anyone have any pictures of this, i dont want a real shiny black im not to worried about how the truck looks i mean i want it to look decent but im more worried about it being one color than looking good.

Re: Duplicolor Paint Shop products

seems ok to me for a diy project. i especially think it fits the bill not have a recoat window so makes it easier for the small home project. i haven't seen any killer paint jobs using it from a quick search though.

my biggest question would be how durible is it, and how much work will be involved later down the road if you switch back to convintional paints.

I used to see a lot of honda guys using rustoleum paint jobs that came out pretty nice. they were even rolling it on some of them and it looked real nice.

Dupli-color paints seem to work better for me. the rustoleum paints are easy to mess up

Re: Duplicolor Paint Shop products

The white on this truck is Duplicolor Paint Shop White. You can clear coat it if you want, but it also looks nice if you just use it as a single stage and rub it out. Goes on nice, but thin. Need at least 2 or three coats, and it stays soft (as far as scratching is concerned) for a while. I think I used two quarts to do the white on this truck, so figure at least 4 at $25 a quart for a whole truck. You might be able to get by with half as much clear for the same surface area, but I never tried it.
