Bench bleeder kit

Just bought a new master cylinder from CPP and they don't include any temporary fittings/hoses for bench bleeding it. Anyone have a good cheap kit or homemade concoction that will work out?

Re: Bench bleeder kit

i have hundreds of them PM me your address and I will mail you one. They should have come in the kit. you can rig your own pretty easily with scrap stuff after getting the barbed fittings. Or the stores sell them as stated above

Re: Bench bleeder kit

i feel bench bleeding is highly overrated// the time that you've spent fretting about it the master cylinder could have been easiy installed on the firewall and been bleed already and have the brake system up and stopping

GM never had in thier factory service manuals back then anything not one single word about "bench bleeding"

it's a myth, a waste of worrying time,WAY OVERRATED

Re: Bench bleeder kit

Yes they can be bled after installed. Most Techs do it this way cause they are paid the rate and want to do it fast, Ford does not reccomend to do it on the vehicle sure Gm is the same, but it is and can be done that way.I do it that way. it is such a simple thing and I doubt that their is much worrying or fretting about it. its a really easy job. either way works. one is just quicker thats all.
