different stock coils

which coils will fit my 1984 crewcab , reason i ask is i screwed up lowering this thing , cut way to many coils and now i need another stock pair to use . ill be getting them from picknpull becouse its cheap but what i need to know is what coils out of what and what years will work on my crew, i figure anything from a chevy/gmc 3/4 ton and 1 ton truck and suburban will work? am i right or do i speciffically need 3/4 ton coils ? i figured since the crewcab is so big and heavy it probably didnt use 3/4 ton coils in the first place but im totally unsure so thats why im asking . id hate to go up there ( picknpull is an hour drive from me ) and get coils that wont work

also i read somewhere 1/2 ton coils will work?? is this true ? and what would happen if i used them , for example would it make for a very soft ride and lower the truck some? i will be towing with it and hauling alot so thats why im a little leery of sticking 1/2 tons under there

thanks for the help
