Blazer Large Fuel Tank Install
I had seen everyone elses Blazer tank install and I to had reservations about how low it hung down so I tried something a little different with my rear crossmember so the tank could sit higher. Anyone else done anything like this........???

The bolts for the tank straps are also being welded in to facilitate installation. Pictures will follow. tomorrow on this part of the install. Re: Blazer Large Fuel Tank Install
Thanks for sharing.
I saved some of your pics for future reference. I have a 79 suburban tank I hope to use. I also was concerned about how low it would hang. Your images I saved:

Re: Blazer Large Fuel Tank Install
I took some more photos this am, will post them later after we get the rear crossmember installed, the bumper brackets, the fuel tank and the bed on so we can see how low it sits and how stable the bed is. I can tell you that with just the bed wood in and installed on all the crossmembers, even without the inner rear fenders installed the bed is rock solid even with the center of the original crossmember missing.

How's it going?
I'm getting ready to do mine. If you don't mind, I'll post my progress here so the info is consolidated for others. Thanks, Robert
