new guy

i dont know where the intro part is so i will post it here. i'm 38 and been into rides since i was a runt, thanks to my dad. i'm mostly into hot rods and kustoms but i always have a soft spot for chevy trucks. right now i'm building a 68 chevy c-10 step side with my, its his ride. it has a built up 400 in it with a 400 tranny. hes 74 years old and still gets down like a kid. he bought this truck from a guy in tucson while were visiting family and it was smoking and burning oil like crazy, but it looked kool LOL. the previous owner did the flames and slammed it. me and my brother changed the water pump, alternator, kicked the tires and in the morning we were heading home with him driving it and me and my mom fallowing him it went through a case of oil but she never gave him a problem, oh yeah it was a straight 6 at the time with a stick shift.
me and my brother just finished putting a drop kit with disc brakes on the front this last weekend. that's pretty much it for now but i plan on picking some brain on here to help me out, if that kool with you guys.

Welcome to the board from east TN! That's a pretty cool ride you got there. I'm diggin the patina'd flame job. It make it very unique. If you have questions, ask away. We will be very happy to help you out.

Re: new guy

thanks .
it used to be a navy truck and when the other owner got it he he did the flames and made it a shop truck. he had a row of spikes going down the center of the hood to give it a punk theme. so when we got it we named it spike. my dad got tired of the strange looks from the parents at the stop light so he took them off
