Headliner from LMC?

Looking at ways to keep the cab cooler on these 99 degree plus days.

Are the Headliners from LMC or ???? worth the money? Can anyone comment on quality? Duribility? Looks?

Re: Headliner from LMC?

headliners are a piece of cardboard with a vinyl covering// no aid to cooling the truck

I would think that putting a non-metal layer between me and the metal cab would reduce the heat considerably? No matter if its just carboard and vinyl?

This is my DD so it sets at work on blacktop all day and by 5pm when i get off the steering wheel and shift knob are to hot to the touch unless i have the sunscreen visor.

Then in town stop and go traffic you can feel the heat radiating off of the roof....

Re: Headliner from LMC?

I bet it would help, you could put some of that foil backed bubble wrap insulation between the headliner and cab, I think that would help also. I have been thinking the same thing but keep chickening out, I don't want to drill holes to hold the headliner up, I worked really hard sanding the old paint off the ceiling, I almost hate to cover it up!
It seems like headliner would have to help a little at least!

My setup from Home Depot. The white cab top and this keeps the heat down in the summer, and radiates heat back down onto my head and shoulders during the winter.
