"Desirable" is in the eyes of the beholder. You're buying a truck for you, not for someone else. Personally, if the body is fairly straight and it runs well, the truck sounds like a nice one if the price is right.
I had a 70 with that color combination, but I'm at work right now. I'll see if I can post a couple of pics tonight. |

Re: Pics and advice on 1972 purchase?
This first picture was said to be "72 yellow" - I like the color, myself - it's not quite as bright as my School Bus !!! The third picture is "1970 yellow" which looks to be a little lighter. The 1970 color chart shows TWO yellows. I don't know if these trucks were painted in the original color either . . . except the BUS, it had original paint when this picture was taken !!! ( ... and you DID notice that it's a CHEVY !!! )

Is this the color your talking about? If so it's called ochra. My truck is a 72 with a 402/400thm. We call it Plane Jane because it came with a big block under the dash a/c, no power steering (has been added), no guage package.

Re: Pics and advice on 1972 purchase?
thanks for the pics! it looks like the white and light yellow. What is that color called? I really like the green trucks, but its hard to find just the right one with the color I like. I can live with the light yellow and white,,,,,
