Been a while! figured id post some updates.

well i havent made any posts for a while so i figured it was time for some.
since i finally graduated high school yes high school hahahaha and got put on full time at the cnc machine shop i work at. ive had more time and money for the truck

updates:

-i milled the choke horn off my carb at my work.
-cut the inner fenders ( no not the wheel wells the actual inner fender)
-cut the inner besides out.
- cut more core support apart (see pics)
-machined custom aluminum rods with adjustable heim joints on the ends to support the bedsides since there is the inner bed, and make the besides perfectly parrallel so i can make me rescessed bedcover.
-removed the front of the bed.
- swapped the belltech shocks and springs out for moroso chevelle trick springs, and strange drag shocks.
-no more front sway bar
-finished all the wiring.
- machined my own adjustable solid carb linkage.
-new tubular race throttle pedal with custom bracket.
-longer studs and open ended lugs in front
- started my custom aluminum sheet metal bed cover (as you can see in picture only the frame is done)
-head lights, tail lights, marker lights and turns signals in
- custom billet grill mounts i made. ( since i hardly have a core support)
and more little things that i dont feel like listing

now all i need is to install my s&w anti-roll bar, finish the bed cover, get front runners and new slicks, and off the to track i go! finally after 3 years

her are some pictures.

Its looking good! Did you cut the factory firewall out or just make aluminum covers? If you did cut it out you need to add a bunch of bracing behind the aluminum. There is allot of strength in the factory firewall.

i cut some of it out, basicly the shape of the aluminum, but i left an edge enough for the rivets. since ive done so much cutting on the truck ive realized when theres a piece not worth cutting just cuz of the support its giving. i cant really explain how i did, youd understand if i took the aluminum off so you can see whats left. its still solid tho.

What part number of front springs did you use and how much did you alter them to get that ride height? Looks great.

i have the part number written down somewhere, let me check, and a trimmed about a half coil off i think it was, i also have 2.5 inch drop spindles on it, so its not just the springs. ill get back to you on that.
