1968 Chevy C20: My tailgate handle doesnt want to move.
So the annoying bit about my truck at the moment is since I brought it.
My tailigate handle doesnt want to move. so therefore my tailgate doesnt open. I notice there is 3 bolts on the inside of the tailgate, but I am wondering what I can do to make my tailgate operational? any advice on how to fix a stuck tailgate would be appreicated. thanks.

It could be the latches at the end are rusted bad try to hit them with something that brakes rusted bolts loose.....does the handle even move?

Take those 3 screws out of the back, and there will be 2 rods on the inside of the tailgate, un hook those from the handle and pull out, and see if you can get it to move.

Take the 3 bolts out and take the handle out and more than likely it frozen. Keep spraying it with WD-40 and keep working it a lose, it will take a little time but it should free up.

I used that stuff for rusted bolts, but a brain fart is keeping me from remembering the name. Mine was froze up from sitting for 13 years in Arkansas humidity. Worked. X2 on pulling the back cover to get to it.
