radiator cap

I was replacing radiator hoses and noticed the cap is only 4lbs. Is that what you guys with v6 305's running or is that the wrong cap. It seems kinda low and it spits out of the overflow hose when it idles for awhile. thanks for any info ahead of time.

Re: radiator cap

Not sure about the pressure but the reason it spits out the overflow is cause you're filling the rad up too far. Don't fill it right to the top. Usually a couple inches down. It will find it's own level. Coolant needs room to expand when it heats up.
