72 K-10 Front Brake Line Question
After replacing all the OEM lines in our build with stainless hard lines, doing a rear disc brake swap and adding braided 4" lift lines to the front, we are still having issues with the front brake lines leaking at the crush washers. I have replaced them several times and tightened them as tight as I dare, yet after brake pressure, they still have a slow leak. The rear lines are fine but the front lines persist. I was told that one crush washer goes between the caliper and the line and the other between the line and the banjo bolt.
Does anyone have any ideas? I dont think I can get these any tighter and am not sure I care to! Thanks |

Re: 72 K-10 Front Brake Line Question
The crush washers go on each side of the banjo. Some of the new washers are on the thin side which will not conform to the caliper if the machining is not good. I have used two washers on the caliper side which worked.
