Any pics of 18/17 wheel combos?

I'm trying to decide on one of these wheels. Also, what size tires would I need?
Truck is not lowered.

Re: Any pics of 18/17 wheel combos?

I just ordered the Coys C5s yesterday, the gun metal finish. 18x8 fronts and 18x9.5 rears. They had them in stock so I was pretty excited.

Coys are nice, but I'm looking for a more classic look.

Re: Any pics of 18/17 wheel combos?

Is there a particular reason you want a 17/18 combo instead of just 17's or just 18's?

Oh those wheel choices, I would pick the TTII's. On that truck, I would definetly go with polished or chrome wheels. I don't think the cast finish wheel would really stand out.

No, just thought it would look cool.

Re: Any pics of 18/17 wheel combos?

Maybe I should drop the rear a little and put 18's all around with a wider, taller tire in the rear.

Mine has a 3.5/5 drop with 17's all around. I was just looking at some tire options. you could get the Hankook Ventus ST in a 255/50/17 up front and a 295/45/18 for the rear. That would look pretty sweet.

I have 17" all the way around. The front has since been dropped about an inch and the back is a 2" drop spring in the picture.

I have a 67 sb and went with 17s all the way around. You need to watch out for your back spacing to make sure you don't rub in the inner areas of your fenders.

I put Goodyear Eagles with discount tire branded mag wheels, look like torque thrust, but 40% less $$.

Re: Any pics of 18/17 wheel combos?

Here is a pic, it has a slight rake forward.

Tires are Goodyear Eagle GT II
P255/60R17
P275/60R17

17x8, 17x9 Discount Tire VX Old School. These wheels had the correct back spacing to work with my 74 Camaro 12 bolt rearend (slightly wider). The wheels were $140 each!

The truck is lowered with front sway bar and handles very well. Thinking of doing an autocross this year with the Porsche club.

I wondered what those Discount Tire wheels looked like on our trucks....nice!!!

Re: Any pics of 18/17 wheel combos?

Its a little wider, I don't remember the exact dimension now. The wheel/tire combo was done with the suspension work over a year ago.

I think you will be a LOT happier in the end. I feel the best combo on these trucks are 18/20's but an 18/18 set up looks nice too.
