Cool Roadside Find '65 Stageway Coach

Take a look at what I drove by this afternoon. I almost left skid marks in the road when I slammed on the brakes. Pretty wild! It's for sale if anyone's interested in an 18 passenger coach project. (PM me if you want the phone number. It's not mine, doesn't have a price) It looks pretty complete with a V8, PS, PB, chrome grille, bumper guards, and all original seats.

I wish I'd gotten better pics. It wouldn't surprise me if this thing spent part of its life as a Yellowstone Park tour bus.

interesting that there is a 65 c/10 emblem on it.. probably started as a c/10 sub before stageway got it (don't think there was a "20" sub available...
so they stretched it and switched the suspension...

they would have been either 10 or 30 series. if that is a 10 series it looks like it has had between 6 or 7' added in. my 65 ambulance was stretched out to 145 " from 115". there was nothing to using a 2o series come to think about it. they all got modified from the door back and the frame stretched(they made 3/4t crewcabs and crummies)..they would of had to use the panel or sub roof as it has a higher crown. the coach builders had access to all factory panels to build these things

That's a good point. It definitely had 8-lug suspension. I guess it could have had the fenders switched out at some point.

That's a good idea. Shortening would probably be much easier than stretching a cab to make a crew.

Very cool. Would be a cool shortened 4 door as mentioned....or a cool limo if bagged, slammed and the inside made into well....the inside of a stretched limo

Re: Cool Roadside Find '65 Stageway Coach

details on these, they were built by Stageway, there is a link that I stumbled across in the last few months.

let it load up and then scroll down, lots of scans of photos and things.

persh added it to his 60-66 chevy trucks site.
