08 Chevy Crew Cab
Hey Guys,
My buddy has an 08 Chevy CCSB truck that he's had since it was new. He's called me and said he wants to sell her....it now has 14,700 miles on it...that's about 5k miles a year....his work provides a vehicle so he rarely gets to drive it What's a fair price for this truck? I'm going off memory here...it's a 2wd, 5.3L, posi rear/ tow package, he's done some custom exhaust and has a custom bed cover. It's white, has the alloy wheels, interior is very nice condition....what else do ya need to get me in the ball park.... FYI...Kelley Blue Book and Edmunds say it's about a $25k truck...what say you?? Thanks

Re: 08 Chevy Crew Cab
well if you take it to a stealer you may as well take 5k off, but if hes selling it himself kbb isnt to bad to go buy its a starting point, and if your gonna buy it i'd say 25 and how much of a friend discount is he goin to give you. I know Ive been trying to sell my 2010 ccsb z71 4x4 7.5 rcx lift kbb is 32,xxx an I have it on craigslist for a few thousand less an I have only got like 2 emails and if I go trade it in their only wanting to give me 25k to 26k.

I think your best bet would be to browse ads on autotrader.com and cars.com and see what others are asking for similar trucks. That would at least give you a starting point. Most probably sell a bit under asking too.

Re: 08 Chevy Crew Cab
With what little you gave me, I looked up a CCSB LT with the bed cover and low miles, here is what I got from NADA.com
Base Price $16,175 $17,775 $19,075 $22,600 Mileage: 15,000 $2,800 $2,800 $2,800 $2,800 Options: (add options) Aluminum/Alloy Wheels $400 $400 $400 $450 Fiberglass Cap $600 $600 $600 $675 TOTAL PRICE $19,975 $21,575 $22,875 $26,525* the total prices are for rough trade/ ave trade/ clean trade/ clean retail. Looks like 21K or so is as good as trade in will get.
