Control arms are not the place to go cheap. If you want something inexpensive, quality used will be your best bet. Control arms are an important piece of your truck and the quality of them is important to your safety and the safety of those sharing the road with you. Do some research on quality arms and try to find a set used.

Suspension and safety components are a couple of areas I absolutley do not go cheap. I would compare systems and go with the best solution your budget allows from one of the reputable suppliers. Personally, if I had to do it over, I would go with Porterbuilt.

I got a good deal by finding someone who abandoned a project....and had a set I got for 250 that was designed for coil springs off of craigslist....but that's the only two deals I've found in three years of looking for hours almost daily for deals on these trucks...

...normally tubular arms = $$$

Go with the Porterbuilt C-Arms, you will not be disappointed.

Take a look in our Suspension Marketplace or the Vendor Marketplace for member only deals from many of our supporters. Are they cheap?No, probably not. If you want "cheap" buy from AIM/Chassis Tech/airbagit.com. or what ever alias they are hiding behind this month. You will get exactly what you pay for.

Also price rebuilding your original a-arms.
Quality ball joints and cross shaft/bushings aren't cheap anymore.
But that might be a better alternative.

CPP makes a really nice affordable tubular arm and offer them for air suspension or coil spring, we are a dealer for CPP let me know what you are looking for and I will shoot you a price

yea I know cheap is what you want but Im building a new motor and trying to fix a few problems with the truck and I wanted to fix the alignment issue while I have it apart but I may just have to wait a few months to do that

Maybe rebuild your lowers & get some tubular uppers. That cuts cost & still nets the geometry benefits. Get the lowers @ a later date. They would be cheaper if bought all @ the same time but sometimes you have to spend a little more over a longer period to meet your goals.

I'd want control arms that have positive caster built in. Seems lowers are always much more expensive than uppers. I would want an upper because of the cost and I can see them when I lift the hood but I'd want pos caster built in and it appears the builders are only building the lowers 1" forward instead of the cheaper uppers built 1" back. I haven't built any so I don't know why this is.

I recall reading Ride Techs arms had the geometry benefit from the uppers, not the lowers. I never gave others much thought... just kind of assumed that was the standard.

Now you have me wondering.

Personally,... I rather have the lowers moved forward.

The wheels are too far back in the front wheel opening as it is.
Moving the uppers rearward 1" makes it slightly worse.
Porterbuilt is now making tubular a-arms that have the ball joint moved forward to help center the front wheels (in the wheel opening), on trucks with extreme drops,... that don't utilize his Dropmember.

. I've fitted my tires and the look isn't apparent. Does it get more in focus as the truck is lowered?
