3" lift shock question

I got some 3" leafs for my 84 blazer. but before I got the springs and blocks for the rear I bought new monroe heavy duty shocks for stock heigth. will I still be able to use these shocks with only a 3 inch lift or should I take them back?

Re: 3" lift shock question

I would take them back. I adjusted the torsion bars on my '92 to bring the front up a bit. I figure I got about 2". When I went to replace my shocks last year, the stock application wouldn't even extend enough to mount up with the suspension drooped. They say a 2a' lift doesn't require shocks changed, but I would and 4" is a definite call for longer shocks.
