Using 4x4 cab on 2 wheeler
Was wondering if there are any other differences in the cabs besides the raised tranny hump and hole in the tranny tunnel?
I do have one thing I will have to deal with....... anyone have a lowered truck with roof lights? .....Or am I going to have to fill them?

Yep, the cab will bolt right up. As far as the lights go, it all depends on how you set the truck up.

It's not a truck unless it has roof lights. I think all trucks should have roof lights. Just me though.

I think a slammed shortbed 73-80 would look awesome with those lights.

Re: Using 4x4 cab on 2 wheeler
I found this thread in a search because I've been wondering about cab differences between 4x4 and 2 wheel drive. I think I read here that there is no difference. Is that correct?
Because I need to replace a cab or two on my trucks (I've got a dually 2wd and a 4x4) and want to make sure I source a replacement cab that can work. Can anyone explain any differences that did exist between cabs on '73-'87 trucks (whether it was specific to 4wd or otherwise). Thanks! Clem

Re: Using 4x4 cab on 2 wheeler
If you can't find one with a high hump reuse the one from your donor truck.

Re: Using 4x4 cab on 2 wheeler
Cool...so you're saying 4x4 had high-tunnel and 2wd had low tunnel? (My trucks aren't in the same place, so I can compare at the moment). Is the tunnel bolt in or is it a cut-n-weld operation? (personally, my plan is to find a cab to restore while driving the truck...then swap it later).
Thanks, Clem
