Re: drop control arms what are they for?
That's a drop pocket style a-arm.
I just don't know what the application is. Did it come with any cross shafts? The hole in the spring pocket plate makes it look like the shock is internal to the coil spring. They won't work with drop spindles. They won't work on your '84 either.

Re: drop control arms what are they for?
Why would you say that? They have the same shock mounting place and the same bumpstop mount and the same third hole, whatever that is for, just because the tubes are bent differently doesn't mean they don't have the same final measurements.

Re: drop control arms what are they for?
I was referring to the "V" shaped support bar behind the spring pocket plate, the shape of the balljoint plate, and the lack of the steering stop, that yours have.

Re: drop control arms what are they for?
So you think newer? The guy that owns them is a hardcore chevy guy, and the paper work he has says gm full-size, but that's it

Re: drop control arms what are they for?
Sorry bout this but I didn't mention they are stsuspensions, because that company hasn't made chevy parts in a while, they are older, do they look compatable with bags? I'm going to give them back I'm just curious now
