Who makes a bed mat for us?

I absolutely love the rubber bed mat in my 08 crew cab. I want one for the 67 long bed, but am getting no love from anyone around here. I paid $55 for the one in my 08, and it's thick and heavy, and fits like a charm. Anyone have one? Where'd you get it, and how much? This is a work truck.
Thanks.

Re: Who makes a bed mat for us?

I have one in my 78 but can't remember the name off the top of my head, I bought it at a local 4x4 shop. If i remember I'll grab the name off it tomorrow.

Re: Who makes a bed mat for us?

I bought a 3/4 inch think sheet of rubber mat from Les Schwab, it cost about $80 and is a very nice quality mat. I did have to cut it myself but it was very easy to fit perfect, I used a jigsaw to cut out for the wheel wells, looks as good if not better than a factory cut mat, it is also very heavy and makes a big difference cutting down noise from the bed, it seems to have made the entire truck quieter.

Re: Who makes a bed mat for us?

I'm going to spray on bedliner on the bed sides and tailgate, but the bed floor has some holes, I figure the mat is the best bet for me.

Re: Who makes a bed mat for us?

Rubber bed mats are a quick way to rot a floor out. Been there done that, never again. I'd just do the whole bed with the bed liner.

unless you are VERY disciplined to wash under it very often.

I agree also, but something to also consider is the environment you live in. I went with the Bed floor mat because rust does not happen out here in the desert, so it was a great choice for me and I wash under it periodically. Good luck on your search.

Re: Who makes a bed mat for us?

My brother bought one from Tractor Supply for his 69 long fleet for about $60. It's for a late model truck but it fit real well, could be trimmed a little around the wheel wells but we left it the way it came, nobody seems to notice.

Re: Who makes a bed mat for us?

my bed sides are ok, tailgate is good, but the bed floor isn't very good. There are plenty of drainage holes
I partly want the mat to make it look better, and partly so I don't loose half a load of road base on the way home. I'll try tractor supply. Thanks.

Re: Who makes a bed mat for us?

The place that makes a good fitting floor mat is the same one that makes a full tailgate cover for these trucks.

That is the main reason I joined this site.

Through my research that I have been conducting over the last 3 years I have found approximately 0 places that make either. I just had spray in bed liner put on mine although I wouldn't recommend that unless you have a full tailgate cover and a bed mat.

Re: Who makes a bed mat for us?

I like the Summit unit.

If I have a Longhorn, would it make sense that it would fit my bed at the back and at the wheels, but not cover up where the bed extension section goes? I could live with that, so long as it comes right to the tailgate.

10-4, it goes right to the tailgate. You would just have a gap at the front of the bed.
Just a warning, they have been on backorder for a while because of a supposed rubber shortage.

Re: Who makes a bed mat for us?

I bought the exact same mat from Summit recently. It was indeed backordered for three weeks but Summit had it dropped shipped right to me and I could not possibly be any happier with the product. I am actually so pleased with it that I ordered one for my 94 truck the very day I received this one. It's also on backorder too, but after how well the backorder on the first one turned out, no worries.

The mat that is about an inch and a half, you can pick one up at most feed supply stores or like someone else mentioned at Tractor Supply. These mat are heavy duty and are used in horse stalls.

x3 on the Summit mat... works very well and fits almost perfectly. Just a little too big around the wheel wells, but not a deal breaker for me!

Re: Who makes a bed mat for us?

X4 I have one in my short bed. (Ordered for a late 70's truck)

Both my trucks are Line-x'd and have a mat. Best combo ever.

Re: Who makes a bed mat for us?

I put a 4 x 6' barn stall mat in my Toyota Tundra. They're about 3/4" thick. It sits on top of a bed liner, and above that is an ARE Z-cap, which was an afterthought. They may not look "show", but they do the job. And your truck will ride better, because they're real heavy. Great on the knees if kneeded.

Oh I see you posted this twice ... are you saying a 73-87 bed mat works in a 67-72?
