Tilt column help
Hey guys, just had a question about my steering wheel tilt column. I have a 1988 silverado stock, tilt steering, the tilt just recently started acting up, it won't tilt downward, it moves up but down it only goes as far as aligning itself. Anyone ever experience this?

Re: Tilt column help
Can you move the wheel side to side at all? like towards the doors?

Re: Tilt column help
Is is just loose and moving around or will it just not go down anymore? May need to get a different column or get yours rebuilt if possible.

Re: Tilt column help
Sorry for late reply but it doesn't wobble, It moves up and down as any truck does, it just stops at 180 degrees, it used to be able to bend a little more towards the bottom side

Re: Tilt column help
Hmm that's weird I have never really ever ran into that problem. Does it seem like its binding up a ton or just doesn't want to go any farther. I wonder if it got bent or kinda tweaked and thats causing it but who knows.
