Re: When ordering carpet low or high hump which do i have?

I believe the 4WD and floor shift models were high hump. Everything else would be a low hump. It's about a 2 inch difference in height.

I assumed since my cab was off a 2wd truck that I needed the low hump. I ordered it and tore the old carpet out only to find a patched hole in the hump from a floor shifter. So I have the low hump carpet in a high hump truck which means it was a real stretch just to reach the door sills and theres about a 1 inch gap in the upper left and right of the cab.

2wd also were available with high humps too ... easiest way to tell the difference is the high hump bolts in

Re: When ordering carpet low or high hump which do i have?

This is how you tell which "Hump" your 67-72 Chevy/GMC Pickup Truck, Blazer, Suburban or Panel has and it is information that you will need when you are ordering sound deadener, carpet, or vinyl floor mats from us.

This is a list of 67-72 Pickups, Blazers, Suburbans, and Panels that were stock with a "Low Hump":

All 2 wheel drives with a 6 cylinder engine and a 3 speed manual or automatic transmissions.

All 2 wheel drives with a small block V-8 and a 3 speed manual or automatic transmissions.

This is a list of 67-72 Pickups, Blazers, Suburbans, and Panels that were stock with a "High Hump"

All 2 wheel drives with a Big Block V-8. (Doesn't matter which transmission)

All 2 wheel drives with 4 speed manual transmissions.

All 4 wheel drives. (Doesn't matter what engine size or which transmission)

*Note: All "High Humps" are bolted to the floor and all "Low Humps" were actually formed as part of the floor.

Quoted right from my website. Here is a link: http://www.classicheartbeat.com/high_low_humps.htm

According to LMC, the low humps were about 4" tall and the high ones were 6" in the center.

If it bolts in, it is a high hump. If it is part of the floor, it is a low.
Wes, i had a 72 cheyenne 402/ 3 speed column shift with a low hump. Just thought i would throw that out there for you...

Wow, I haven't ever seen one of those. I guess there is always an exception to the rule, fly in the ointment, and oh well you know what I mean.. WES
