shredded a fender

I think the saying goes something like "god watches out for babies and fools" well im not in the first category. Blew a tire on the dually while pulling my travel trailer. I was coming back from the columbia river gorge yesterday and blew an inner tire @ 65mph. Not pretty....sounded like fourty monkees beatin the tar out of truck bed. got lucky on a sunday and found a semi mechanic to jack up the beast an throw the spare on for a couple bucks and some cold beer. Limped the mess home and this morning found two dually fenders on CL for 100$ with no cracks yippee. Next its on to the tire store

Re: shredded a fender

Id give you the passenger side one if you werent on the other side of the dirt pile. The guy i bought them from told me he threw away a dent and rust free entire 77 front clip and doors and also trashed a set of NOS crew cab seats because nobody would buy them. Its hard to give away squarebody stuff around here.

Re: shredded a fender

Well that really sucks. I guess the shipping would be out of control.

Re: shredded a fender

Nice score on the drw fenders! It sucks about the tire, but at least you were able to get the spare on and be on your way.

You guys might check Greyhound for shipping that fender. I've been quoting some doors to ship and they weren't bad at all for a big door.
