desireable 59 parts?
a local scrapper has got his hands on a 2 ton 59 truck and is going to let me pull some parts off of it.
my question is are there any parts you guys need that you want me to pull? also what parts are in high demand/desireable from this year? i havent gotten a chance to check it out yet so im not sure of the condition it is in.

Re: desireable 59 parts?
I know that if they have the "V" on the hood emblem they don't repop them a lot of guy are looking for them. and if they are fleet side and the bed side trim is in good condition they do not repop that either.

Re: desireable 59 parts?
ditto on the 59 V hood emblem and fleetside bed trim. If you have the time the dash for use to repair trashed radio knob area. Radio delete plate and "buttons" for the knob holes. Glove box door and latch. Stock front shock frame brackets. Big truck front clip is unique will not interchange with 1/2-3/4 ton. I think the doors and hardware are the same. Seat frame and brackets. Don't know how much room you have but if cab is not rusted (highly unlikely but some farm trucks were stored indoors when not used) might be of interest to someone. Frame and running gear is of not much use unless someone wanted to build a hauler.

Re: desireable 59 parts?
2 ton trucks don't have fleet side beds gents. 1964-C10 I'd say just about the same parts that were considered desirable on most of our trucks. Doors if they are in good shape and not all beat up or rusted out. Dash parts that aren't damaged or corroded. Add to that other trinkets that one might put on a smaller truck.
Those big trucks usually were well taken care of and the cabs are in good shape or they were beat to death and there isn't much left that a guy would want to pull off. |

Re: desireable 59 parts?
I'd say the complete cab, and the front sheet metal. Someone may want some good front fenders for a big truck. The hood is the same as the pickups. Rust free cab is the same as smaller ones, as is that rear panel bracket the one fellow wants.
