Re: k10 exhaust manifolds
Corvette is the most common app when people talk about rams horns. The Napa database may also have a few database errors in it and why it won't show for your specific application. I've run into it a few times in the past where year range is incorrect, but if you know a part number they can call it up.
There are a few varieties of rams horns available from Dorman; General Corvette Exhaust search; http://www.dormanproducts.com/search...rvette+exhaust If your bored you can look through the truck specific manifold search and see what varieties they have; http://www.dormanproducts.com/search...fold&pagenum=3 And heres a related thread with the truck specific numbers; http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=361938 Alex. |

Thanks Axle.....this helps alot as on my k10 the exhaust manifolds do not angle backwards.... I am sure all the 4 wheel drives dump straight down....Thanks Frank

Re: k10 exhaust manifolds
Been there with my '73 K20 350. Not sure on the differences between the 72-73, but I searched far and wide. I found a set of "Corvette" rams horns, the ones with the 2.5 outlets, straight dumps on ebay for $150 shipped. Pretty good product, HOWEVER:
The left side manifold comes really close to the left motor mount. In fact, I just had the exhaust installed in mine and the flange hits the motor mount slightly. I will have to go in there and grind a tad off the flange. So far no problems, though. My truck had the ram horns when I got it, but the driver side one angled back for clearance. So just from my research, I would have to disagree that "all" the 4X4 ones dumped straight down as I could see this causing problems. I checked the codes on each of the manifolds on mine and they are apparently Corvette ones. You can still find these used on ebay or elsewhere, but I didn't want to buy used ones. Check the first page of my build thread for comparisons and pics: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=430367

Re: k10 exhaust manifolds
Thanks for the link to your build WhiteElephant....looks good...came up with a Dorman part number RB674501 I will give this to the Napa guy and see what he comes up with.Pretty sure my truck came with the straight dumps...only problem I have had is that the pipe after the manifold comes close to the starter...hunting season is about to start ....time to get things in order....Thanks
