Re: Lets see some TBI's!

heres mine, though not in my truck just yet, still in my other project as of now since im undecided. But its a 87 305 truck block with stock cam for now, set of ported and polished 305HO heads, a 82 vette CFI INTAKE WITH 2- 1BBL TB'S, 91 chevy truck wiring harness, sensors, computer, and dizzy/coil combo. Despite what everyone thinks about CFI ( ya know, the "cease-fire" thing), once you get rid of the crossfire's OG computer and dizzy its a fine setup. Hopefully ill be driving it around more, so far havent had many problems sneaking it out here and there, but the car still isnt legal. just been hitting the backstreets. Possibly might go in my 93 stepper daily if it proves to be as trustworthy as the v6 in it now. Just somethin different.

Re: Lets see some TBI's!

^That's cool, never seen the cross fire setup adapted to something else.

Here's my work in progress, 188k mile, 93 350:

Name: 2010_08220006 (Small).JPG
Views: 21172
Size: 65.4 KB

Semi-functional cowl hood, filter-top K&N, Airraid spacer, Hypertech chip. Proform valve covers, powdercoated Tuff Stuff alternator -- going for the all-black look, one day. Everything else is stock, including the very worn-out valve guides. Needs: Bottom-end rebuild, Vortec heads, cam, headers, more fuel, upgraded ignition, and a real tune. Or an LS swap

Re: Lets see some TBI's!

I haven't invested a whole lot under the hood of my '91. No go-fast goodies or anything fancy. Just a little bit of color matching here and there. I really don't have any good shots of the engine bay. This is really about the best I've got.

Re: Lets see some TBI's!

With 365,000 miles on the truck, parts get replaced....

At 220,000 miles I dropped in a 'special order' 350, 4-bolt main, & configured for a Pro charger... some day. I had a cracked head a couple years ago & replaced the whole top-end. The engine is strong, but waiting for the supercharger. Not a race set-up, just a little bit more power.

I have a raised air cleaner designed like a velocity stack, and a Tornado.

I used a stainless steel 4" duct to (sort of) "ram" the cool air from a 4" X 14" scoop, just the the right-edge of the grill opening. Cutting A 4" hole behind the headlight. I have a very tight 4" curve to manage the turn to the air scoop.

Since the photos I installed MSD plug wires with an aluminum wire harness bracket.

I like things 'stock' but just a bit better.

Put the camera on a tripod.
Take a pic with the hood open.
Take a pic with the hood closed.
Combine the pics in Photo Shop and voilà!
