New work done...RIMS

I haven't posted anything in quite a while! Sorry for being such a stranger. Heres the truck...

...as she stands now.
I got rid of the white wagon wheels. A buddy at work GAVE ME a set of Anson Sprints, those heavy aluminum billet types with the funky offset lugs for adjusting to different patterns. They looked like this...

..so I polished them up ye olde fashioned waye, by hand. Went through the wetsand grits, 320, 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1200, 1500, 2000 and then aluminum polish. Nice, huh? It took a lot of elbow grease and I'm happy its done.

So then I had to make these things fit the truck. At the time only the fronts were 5-lug as I swapped the whole front end w/ a 71 about 10 yrs ago. So I pulled my rear axles and took them to a machine shop in town for a $100 six-to-five lug conversion. REMEMBER that the new lugs are 1/2", oops!. I mistakenly told the guy to use the old lugs. Had to widen the holes at home afterwards, buy new lugs and hammer them in. Anyway, its all good, the price was right and I got to inspect my axle shafts. I used OEM bearings but plan to switch to the aftermarket type (bearing rides on a different spot on the axle shaft).

OK, enuf for now. I'm currently doing some reseach on rebuilding the deck with material made from recycled plastic, synthetic wood!

You can wish in one hand and crap in the other.
See which one gets filled first.

I LOVE the look of slots, and that deal you got on them is unheard of!
