Wtb swb chassis or bare frame

I'm taking a trip from Pittsburg, KS to Longview, Texas in a couple of weeks to pick up a 1966 cab. Trying to locate a a swb rolling chassis or bare frame to pick up on the trip. If you have one or know of one the will be a long my route post it up. Price, pics and condition.

Thanks,

Re: Wtb swb chassis or bare frame

m6z...... There is a wrecking yard right down the road from me that has:

(2ea) 1960 SWB Stepsides
(1ea) SWB rolling frame (64-66)
(1ea) 1963 SWB Stepside

After we load the cab up we can take ride down there to look them over. The 64-66 is the best looking one and it appears to be all original with only the SWB fleetside bed still attached.

Re: Wtb swb chassis or bare frame

Doug,

I have a frame from a 64 short stepside it has the front suspension it has the rear end but it's not attached to the frame. I bought the truck for body parts. If you are still interested its west of Tulsa about 25 miles.

Re: Wtb swb chassis or bare frame

When are you going to on your trip? The frame is at my grandparents I can run out there some time and get you some pics. Once you get the pics we can talk price unless you got something to trade.

Re: Wtb swb chassis or bare frame

Doug,
What do you think about the frame. I hope this is what you are looking for? The only thing I see bad is the railroad rail that was welded to the back, I guess for extra weight. Like I said before we got it just for body parts. Would like to see it put to use instead of scrapping it. We brought it home from my grandparents house so it is closer to Tulsa. Please let me know so I will know what I need to do next.
Thanks,

Re: Wtb swb chassis or bare frame

I see the steering relay rod is still on the system. would you like to sell that separate from the frame or does that stay with the frame as a whole?
