Going Pickin

Me and another member were granted access to a junkyard. Not a huge one but has about 1800 vehicles and a few rows of squares and 67 to 72s. I went through quickly and there is lots of good stuff yet to be taken. Tool box is loaded, got sun block and water.

Re: Going Pickin

It was a good day. Looked over 30 or so trucks. Lots of tilt columns, straight rust free panels, doors, etc. I didn't find any tilts for a manual though. No factory tachs either but I'm certainly going back. Lots of complete factory AC set ups too. Dana 60s and GM 14 bolts everywhere.

Here is what I gathered up for the day:

Re: Going Pickin

I didn't see any, but then again I was paying attention to the newer trucks. I am going back because the first time I was so excited I kept loosing focus.

I will keep an eye out for a 67-72 tailgate and short bed next time.

Re: Going Pickin

I went back today and located a factory tach for my truck. As far as the 67 to 72s there was one with potential. Front passenger fender, hood, grill needs replaced but all else was workable.

Tailgate was in really good shape. 3 small holes near passenger top.
