Man I wish we would of had time to go racing. With Tim waking everybody up at 6 am and pretty much keeping busy until about 8 pm, there just wasn't any time. I wanted more time to talk to board members. Somebody said something about meeting there in September, I have at least three spaces for that show, hopefully I can get three more. We can meet up there if anybody wants to.

It was great to meet some of the board members I talk to here. I had posted on the original/pre autofair thread about a meeting. Thought it would be fun to have some sort of "Official" Right Coast meeting of the "Members of the Board" at the September Show. Some of you guys that camp, could circle the wagons/trucks/trailers or whatever. On Saturday, late, as a local member, I would volunteer to go and fire up the grills and have some Ice Tea and burn some dogs and burgers, so that when the show guys close up for the night, we could sit around the "campfire" and swap long/short/stepside stories until time to go to church Sunday morning. Just a thought.

Sorry that it took me a week to post, following the auto fair I've been on vacation for a week trying to wire my shop.I had a couple of guys from work come by and give me a hand,I'm a machinist by trade and my knowledge of electricity is limited to wiring ceiling fans or replacing a swithc or receptacle.I'll think twice now before I tell an electrician's joke in the shop althought I'll problably tell it anyway .
The auto fair was great,we got a little rain on Saturday but the true addicts of our hobby came out regardless.I sold about $700.00 worth of old junk and bought about $600.00 worth of new junk,by any standard in my book I'll call that a huge succes. I was pleased to get to meet a few board members and lament the fact that I missed Efabman,we will need to get together some time. David King from King Parts came trough with a part that we had talked about several months ago at another show, real good quality and a real good price. Thanks again David. Joachim,it was nice to finally meet you in person, thanks again for the cafe. Finally,I don't set up in the Fall but I allways attend and being that I'm about 15-20 minutes from the Speedway I will volunteer to help with Joachim if you'll want to get together then. Thanks again to everybody and GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS .HF |
