Check out my new Daily Driver!

She took my Big F*rd SuperCab an "turned it into a new 2012 Sonata. So I get to turn my toy into a DD. It's been raining cats & dogs, but not to worry. It sat outside for at least the last 17 years. (a "recovering" Georgia farm truck). Wish me luck. Actually, it motors down the freeway pretty well, so we'll see. (I know, the upper tailights look yellow, but that's the camera, they're red!)The last picture is my "less than $50 tip". Two $3.00 surplus rods ends, a 12" pc. of all thread, and a leftover pc. of 1/4" rubber hose, made a really stout throttle rod. (PO had junk).

Re: Check out my new Daily Driver!

One of the first tips I saw on here when I joined (and I have it saved somewhere in a word file) was a how to on making a nicer throttle rod, pretty much the same as yours, two rod ends, a length of all thread and in place of the fuel hose some shiny chrome or stainless tube slipped over the all thread. Its on my list of to do's!

Re: Check out my new Daily Driver!

Very nice truck! I don't think oldblue1968chevy realized the hose was just there for looks and was actually covering the all thread.

Good day Sir.

Thanks for your comment. I could have gone to a plumbing supply and use a chrome sink supply line instead of the rubber hose. They are soft copper and form easily. BUT! That would have looked out of place under my funky hood.

Good luck and thanks
