Re: autozone brake booster

Says it fits '66 C10 2wd V8. That's pretty bad ass minus the pickle jar master.

Re: autozone brake booster

I saw an original 1972 stepside the other day with a v8, ps, power brakes, the booster looked just like that, but it did have a dual master cylinder( FYI I think a dual mastercylender rebuilt costs about $19.95 at autozone that was what I used. The only wrinkle I had in this deal was that I used captain fabs bracket and it moved the master cylinder in closer to the firewall. I had to shorten the shaft that went from the pedal to the booster, Kieth

Re: autozone brake booster

I tried that one, my linkage was too short..Besides if I were to install th booster, I'd then have to install a metering valve.. It was too much to handle so I went with th original mstr from kragens

http://m.oreillyauto.com/img?url=htt...it.jpg&ttl=30d

So I got this one instead..

Re: autozone brake booster

Installing a brake booster has nothing to do with installing a 'metering valve' That is something that is needed when you either convert to a dual reservior master and also with disc brakes.
