Inliner Valve Cover Question
Ok, Somebody straighten me out. I've gotta pull the valve cover to check the valvetrain on my 250. I looked for a gasket online and all the covers have three bolts on one side and four on the other. Mine has five on the passenger side and six on the driver side. What gives? Oh yeah, it has the integral head. I thought it came from a '77 Nova.

Re: Inliner Valve Cover Question
PS. I found one that matches the bolt holes but the gasket looks a little screwy.

Re: Inliner Valve Cover Question
Get the casting numbers from your block and run them, double check what you have.

Re: Inliner Valve Cover Question
The pictured v/c gasket jives its just that extra bit that doesn't make sense. I'm gonna get a gasket and do some trimmin if it doesnt fit. Mine doesn't have that. Mine is either a 77 or 78. I saw something that said 78 was a one year only deal but I'm not sure what the diff is.

Re: Inliner Valve Cover Question
Huh - I didn't know they changed the valve covers on later years. You learn something new every day...

Re: Inliner Valve Cover Question
Just pulled the v/c and found that the #2 intake rocker stud has backed out. Gotta find out why. If nothing shows up I'll just ram it down in there and pin it.
