Hey, it helps support the board, right?

Re: Pop up ad of the day on the CHEVROLET truck boards

IIRC it's a banner ad co. that pays a small amout to do ads. They probably don't care what they put up as long as they get paid for it and can push it cheaply. It's probably automated to just put "X" ads up "X" times per month for "$X".It helps pay the bill for servers or whatever the BB needs and I'm so disinterested that I can't tell you any except that "Brother's Truck Parts" shows up sometimes.I'm sure others do but I don't even look at them.

I don't mind old fords. If you want to learn mechanics and to fix everything buy a new ford there the way to go. We seem to have bad luck with fords but never with Chevy but then I talk to people that have it the other way around lol.

See I'm the exact opposite. I had 2 new 3/4 ton chevy's with the 6.2L gasser for work. Both of them lost their transfer cases and the front diffs. And to top it off both had rusty rear passenger side bumpers within a month. My first trip out to a rig with the one truck ended with all the back door interior trim falling off.

So I bought a 2011 f350 with the 6.2 gas engine. Not a single problem at all in 20,000kms. I've only had the truck for 3 months too. I do a lot of driving and hauling with it.

I'm a GM guy without a doubt, they just let me down big time with their new products and service.

I'm bet the transfer cases were from pump rub? That seems like a common problem an gmc never really owned up to it if I'm not mistaken. With my parents 05 ford F 150(they inherited from my grandpa when he passes) at less then 30,000 miles the injectors were bad then around 50,000 miles the rear end went out an sense it was in the shop I convinced them to change the plugs also just so they'd be less likely to seperate, and those two things cost around $2,000 and now just a few thousand miles later it sounds like it has 200,000 miles on it an they never tow with it or work it hard. But with all the gmcs they had we abused and they never broke down.
