Epic failure!
Managed to bust out the back glass in my '85! I'm so mad at myself!
Got a hold of a 8" diameter pipe, about 15' long. wanted to get it home before any of the other vultures at work got their hands on it. At least 1/4" wall thickness. Thought, no problem, it will strap down just fine in the truck. Wrong! Straps came loose and it proceeded to bust out all but one of the glass panels in the sliding back glass. It sort of rolled across the tailgate, and the end that was in the bed hit the back glass. You had to be there to witness the stupidity. How do you get the back glass out?

Just grab a hammer and knock the rest out! Jk, uh I think you remove the rubber seal that holds the frame to the cab and it should pop out.

Theres a strip in the middle of the seal you must remove and it will just pop out

I got a solid window you could have. Looks like you would spend the same in gas as buying a new one though....

I did the exact same thing about 25 years ago when I had my square. Gosh was I p1$$ed at myself, I got it fixed but still was real upset for a while.

Picked up a new window for $31 from Pick-A-Part. Having a devil of a time getting it back in. I had to take a break from the frustration!

how are you doing it? it always worked best for me to put the rubber around the window, then use a string inside the rubber, place the bottom of the rubber in place and push on the window gently and have someone slowly pull the string out so the rubber moves inside the cab ( does this make sence?) while you push on it from the outside.

Thats the way, lots of dish soap on the string and the rubber seal will also make it easier to get in. Be careful how much pressure you put on it....

It's easier to put on if you have help. You want to push, sandwhich, the section you are pushing on.
