Re: Looking for an 67 up C-50 Style truck
Theres one for sale in Clarkesville Ar. along Interstate 40. I almost stopped to check out the price yesterday on the way to a car show. Its a baby blue with white grill 68 I believe. Next time I go that way I'll check the price. I asked the wife to look when I drove by to see if she could see the price. SHe told me to just get off the haighway and go look. Wished I had.

Re: Looking for an 67 up C-50 Style truck
Drive through any state in the midwest grainbelt! I think every other farm has one tucked away in a machine shed somewhere! I always loved driving down two lane blacktops around harvest time-may be the only time they get used! Quite a few had tach dashes if I recall the info.. I always wanted to put 16" dually wheels on a C-50 and give it that "Topkick" look..

Re: Looking for an 67 up C-50 Style truck
Keep an eye out for farm auctions in your area. Even if all you find are grain trucks, most have removeable sides and can be a dump/flatbed in a matter of an hour. These trucks could have as big as a 427, if you have a horseshoe you-know-where you could find a earlier truck with a 409. That's what I'd love to find. The average engine for these are 327/350/377's. Most of the grain trucks in these years had tachs and the normally blank gauge filled with a vacuum gauge.

Re: Looking for an 67 up C-50 Style truck
What are ya interested in a reg cab or maybe a crew? I've saved a pic or two of the big boys. I know nothing about either one of these, just random pics. I have wondered about using one of the bigger series cabs myself on a 3/4 or 1 ton frame.

Re: Looking for an 67 up C-50 Style truck
I drove a lot of these when I was a kid growing up on the farm, hauling grain, hay, etc. I remember the first small block chevy I ever rebuilt was a 327/350 horse engine out of a corvette. I put it in a C65 hay truck. ( Fastest hay truck I ever drove)
