Need opinions, what would you do?

Okay here's my dilemma, my Cheyenne is pretty much done, a few little things left to do but damn close for a daily driver only. I'm really into going fast these days and well a 3/4 ton longbed with a small lift really isn't built for speed so...I'm thinking about selling (or trade) the Cheyenne and using the money to buy another project truck, something smaller. I also want to get another project car, probably a Nova.
So what would you do, shut up and keep the Cheyenne and save up for another? Sell the Cheyenne, buy a smaller truck and use the rest of the money twards the projects?

I guarantee you that if you sell your truck, and start another project you'll miss having a basicly nice truck to drive around in that's NOT a hotrod. I'd keep it, and save for a new one, unless you don't have room...

Tough call Dion I would find it hard to let my truck go , and storage is a big problem for me also ,If you really want to go faster you know what you have to do ,But I bet you will wish you had that truck back . If I was to let mine go I'd buy the 68 Camaro across the street .

Good Luck:

You have a sweet truck Dion, and I swear that if you get rid of it, you will end of regretting it somewhere down the road. Maybe not a lot, but there will be a time when you will miss it. So if you do it, make sure you get something that really makes you feel good. Just MHO on the subject, after all, it is your truck, and a damned nice one at that!

The engine that's in the truck now is far from stock and has an est HP of 400 and it's going into the Monte (for now) and we're rebuilding the original truck block to a 383

Yeah, I really can't see myself letting the truck go.

Thanks for the input guys.

Does pay to keep your ride, even if only for a parts chaser.

Been there, done that.............

Does this make any sense??????? get rid of the truck, get a car, get another truck???

Hod rod the truck, make sure you use as much chrome as possible...(chrome makes an engine run better) paint it pink (cause pink paint will make it faster) and when your ready....use it to tow the Nova home.....

but then again I'm a lunitic....

oh and if you really want to trade for a project hot rod, I've got a 64 Rambler two door....11,000 original miles (and looks it) just waiting for a v8 engine........doesn't weigh much, would make a great hot rod (did it to a studebaker........made a perfect sleeper) and yes it currently runs....you live close enough to me, you should come check it (and the studebaker out.

let me know if your interested.......I need a good daily driver truck(or burb)

9 out of ten personalities agree anyone can make a mild hot rod car, but it takes a real nut to rod a truck (or in my case a burb..if I still had it)

The 10th one is in the corner trying to figure out what the implications of a "This end Up" mark on a box means when standing on your head

You will need the truck to pull the trailer for your future muscle car. Keep it and save, you never know a good deal on a nova could walk your way. You will miss your truck, I missed mine and it was just apart for repairs.

Smiles. I know what you mean, a full size truck that sounds like a over cammed hot rod can't be beat, that's exactly how the Cheyenne is! I would only trade it for restored Chevelle, Camaro or Nova and chances of that is slim. Here in CA these trucks are easy to find, easier than or at least cheaper than the cars mentioned so that's the only reason why I would even consider a trade.

After a day of serious thought, I'm not getting rid of her.
