Long Term 48 5-Window
Been a long time stalker on here watching a few builds so finally thought it would be time to post a project my dad and I have been working on for the past 8 years. I have a ton of pictures to post so it might take me some time to catch up to where we currently are. Remember I have 8 years worth of pictures. Well enough with the talking here are some pics.

Re: Long Term 48 5-Window
Here you can see we started to work on the original frame a little. We ended up going a different route, with a 70 c10 SWB.

trent_44, Look good. Nice sheet metal work. It looks like you are going to fix the belt line like I had to do on my buddies truck.

Re: Long Term 48 5-Window
And here is how it sits now, we have had the cab mounted for a couple of years now but a few health issues have slowed the pace a little. But now that everything is in the clear we are back on it in full force. We have a donor truck that we are using for the bed a few other misc parts, hope you enjoy.

Re: Long Term 48 5-Window
I don't actually have any more pictures of the back getting completed, but from what my dad said they welded in a piece of metal and tried to get it as flush as possible then the body shop took care of the rest. Hope this helps. Thanks

Re: Long Term 48 5-Window
Hey guys just wanted to post an update where we are sitting with the truck. Here a few years ago my dad had a local mechanic tell him about a farmer that had a 51 sitting in his yard that he would like to get rid of. So he made the trip out to the house and sure enough he wanted it gone, but with one stipulation, he wanted the original spare tire off of it. Granted dad said it looked to be the original he still wanted it because it had never been used. So after unbolting it the farmer said if you haul it away it's yours for FREE!! Well anyway, we are using the bed off of the truck because it's in pretty decent shape, the only thing we are lacking is the tailgate. So if anyone knows of a decent tailgate in our general area we would be interested in it. As for the rest of the truck we are looking to get rid of it as well. Here are the pics.
