My 1952 truck.
I had a 1950 when I was a youngster and sold it for $50.00 after the block cracked. I always regretted that and then last year I bought this 1952 and have been working on it when i get time. Wow, can these things suck up money!

Re: My 1952 truck.
Thanks xpickup,
I am going to change the air conditiong vents as I do not like them where they are anymore, but to install the Impala dash was really quite easy. I was going to put a 55 Belair dash in but a buddy talked me out of it.

Re: My 1952 truck.
Very nice fab work. A lot of times old and new when it comes to interiors tend to look misplaced...Not the case with yours..
Keep up the good work Marc

Re: My 1952 truck.
Thanks Marc. Sure wish I could figure out how to take off those headrests! Pushing the little button does not seem to work. Might have to go a little Magnus Ver Magnusson on them. BTW, your truck is awesome.

SSABMUD, That looks great. The console and dash really flow together. Great job. Keep the pictures flowing.

Re: My 1952 truck.
Thanks, when the cat is away, the mice will play. I have so many little things to do on mock up before taking it apart and starting on the frame. The snow will be flying up here in a couple months and I have a new sled coming along with a turbo kit that needs to be put on. Maybe that will take my mind off the truck for awhile. Doubt it.

Re: My 1952 truck.
Thanks Shannon. I changed the seats three times and the console twice because they just did not work with the dash. After the fibreglass work is done, the whole interior will work even better. Need to move the AC vents again, and the brake pedal sucks. I just hope I don't screw it up.

Re: My 1952 truck.
Photos of the Willys. It belonged to my Uncle whom I was going to help him fix it up one day. Sadly I lost him and my Mother gave the Willys and a 1926 Ford roadster to me. I had them shipped to my house and decided to restore them in his honor. The Willys is done but I am collecting parts for the roadster. I did Find a near new turtle deck for it in the US which was a major hurdle. The Willys took me nearly two years of hard work and a fair bit of cash as you can see it was very rough fresh off the farm. It had the wrong engine in it but I found the original in three 5 gallon pails with a spun crank and rods. I am very happy to have finished it and it reminds me of him every time I see it. Thanks for the interest.

Re: My 1952 truck.
Two more crappy ones. I really need to pull her out of the shop and clean her up for some photos. The 52 is just keeping me too busy along woth work, family, other projects.

Re: My 1952 truck.
Very cool! I have a 48 CJ2A that'll be a future project when my twins (almost 4 y/o) are old enough to help me. How much of the original tub were you able to use? Mine will probably use the original cowl, rear floor, front fenders and hood, and the rest will likely be new panels. It's rough, but not as rough as my CJ3A parts jeep (frame donor).

Re: My 1952 truck.
Well I should have changed the tub, but I replaced the front floor, both side panels, foot boards, dash panel, tailgate, hood, fenders, front bumper, windshield frame, seats, wheels, plus others too numerous. If it did not mean so much to me, i would have probably forgot about it. Good luck with yours.

Re: My 1952 truck.
My -ss is dragging today. Been working until 2 am for the last three nights but did get the inner fenders narrowed and welded up. I have been dreading that job for quite awhile. I forgot my camera last night so I will take some pictures next week. It is getting closer to tear down again. Better go pick up the family who has been camping all week and get some rest.

Re: My 1952 truck.
Well, after a brief hiatus. I hope to start working on my truck again. New snowmobile is showing up soon, so I better get after it. Started fixing door gaps, inner fenders, and working on the air conditioning. Trying to get it far enough together so I can take it apart and start making it pretty.
