New Stainless Caps
Lost one of my white painted caps a few weeks ago so started looking for a replacement. Found a set of stainless in nice shape from a forum member and figured I'd see how they look. I'm really pleased. I'll track down another white one to have two complete sets. Just thought I'd share a quick photo. I'll be repainting them soon to freshen them up a bit.

Re: New Stainless Caps
I think it looks better since it compliments the trim nicely.

Re: New Stainless Caps
What a great looking truck! That's the beauty of hubcaps. You can change them. I like the polished best, but can see the value in staying original.

Re: New Stainless Caps
Carb rebuild and spruced up the engine bay a little bit. Besides that, I've been having fun driving it.
Not sure if you guys can view this but here are a few pics of my brother and I working on it during January. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...8f715ec&type=1

Re: New Stainless Caps
Thanks. I've been enjoying it. Put a new sending unit in the tank tonight to fix the fuel gauage. So easy to work on these old trucks.
Yep Smitty, Medium Green.

Re: New Stainless Caps
Yeah, thanks for the thread link. Great truck and story. The new caps look better than the original on your truck. They match the trim very well.
When I got the GMC from my dad, it didn't have any hubcaps so I went to the junkyard and found 2 painted and 2 stainless Chevy caps. I painted them and the rims white with my own colors accents. That was the only fresh paint on my truck for almost 20 years. They still look right to me.
