All weather car cover /where do you get one?

Hello guys

Im looking for an all weather car cover for this winter were is the best
place to buy one ? I see LMC trucks sell them but I want your opinion

I can't remember the link to the one I was going to buy, but if you want to store it outside and keep it safe, the cheapest covers I'd go with are around $500 to $700. some of the cheaper ones can let stuff seep through, or tear and let water under them and in the spring you find textures/stains in the paint.

I had several truck/car covers for different vehicles. My last one was for a new GMC Sierra Ext. Cab and it was a Budge Shield Gold. It is lightweight but does a good job of keeping dust and rain off the truck.
I would not get a cover with a soft felt type inner liner - the liner wears off and leaves lint all over your vehicle.
I would not get a Tyvek based car cover - these are basically thick paper which will rip and get threadbare quickly.
I would not get a real heavy car cover (like most expensive car covers) because they are a pain to lug on and off the vehicle and store.
I would not get a "breathable" car cover because dust collects on the outer surface of the car cover, and when it rains the dust becomes mud and you have mud on the top of your vehicle and a muddy car cover.
The problem with a cover on a pickup truck is that the cover dips down in the bed area and water/debris collects in that depression. If you have a tonneau cover it won't dip as far, but will still dip. I kept some cardboard boxes in the bed but a strong wind would blow them over/or around and the cover would still dip.
I don't know how the Shield car cover would do in the snow or ice, but it was good in the rain and intense sun - did not need a windshield sun shade. The wind did pick up the edge of the cover and it ripped a little around a bumper, but I stitched it up OK. It did not quite cover the bumpers completely on my ext. cab, even though it was supposed to be for an ext. cab, but it was OK and I think on a reg. cab it would be fine. Then I got 4 small spring clamps with rubber tips from Harbor Freight and clipped the cover the the bottom of the rocker panels. That solved the problem of the cover blowing off in the wind.
I kept the cover and have it rolled up in the shed, in case I get another nice truck or end up selling it.
If you buy one of these I would shop price.
