New guy, Houston area
Not a new owner quite yet, but I've been searching topics so much lately and it keeps leading me to this site. Figured I'd go ahead and join.
Trying to get informed on the 1967-72 trucks. I currently own a 1972 Monte Carlo that I've done a very light restoration on. She's at the point I'm about "done" with the upgrades and just plan to cruise it from here on out. So, that means it's time to find another project! I've always had a stange obsession with regular cab dually's. So, I'm searching for an inexpensive project truck in the area. The truck will either be a C30 and restore it (w/flatbed) or get a LWB and make my own with some stepside fenders. Found a few prospects in the area....going to look at several this weekend. I'll be back to report what I find. I already appreciate all the info I've gotten off this site....and hope to contribute someday!! |

Re: New guy, Houston area
Kinda went a different direction than originally anticipated....
Picking her up tomorrow: 6cyl 4 speed, used to be a work truck for the state of Washington. In the same family for almost 20 years, garaged most of it's life. I haven't viewed it in person yet unfortunately, but the seller has been very good about sending pictures. Body looks to be in pretty good shape. Looking forward to this project!!!
