This is a new, un-installed Edelbrock Victor Series polished aluminum, high-volume mechanical water pump...Fits small block Chevy w/ short water pump (clockwise rotation)...bolts & gaskets not included...i bought this to use on my '66 C-10, however i decided to go with a natural finish pump instead....retails for $250 at Summit Racing or Jegs....if you're interested or have any questions, just let me know....thanks for looking, & have a great day!

"These Edelbrock Victor series high-volume water pumps are designed for maximum flow and equal coolant distribution in street cars, race cars, tow vehicles, and motor homes. The aluminum pumps have CNC-machined housings with special one-way internal passages that flow more coolant at higher velocities, even at low engine speeds. The CNC-machined, cast iron impellers are larger than other impellers and have curved vanes that produce greater flow with less cavitation. Other features include heavy-duty roller bearing assemblies built to withstand higher torsional loads, billet steel hubs, & leakproof seals"

K how do I tell if I have a long or short water pump? Don't want to puchase and find out it won't fit.

unless previously changed, they changed to long water pump on trucks in '73...so '72-earlier trucks would've had the short pump from the factory

What's the difference between a Chevy short water pump and a long water pump?The following information was found in our Edelbrock catalog.
The difference is the length of the hub. Chevrolet used a short water pump on small block passenger car engines from 1955-68, 1969-70 350 Corvettes, and 1955-72 light duty trucks. The dimension from the engine block surface to the water pump hub is 5 5/8". The pilot shaft diameter is 5/8". Long water pumps were used on small block passenger cars engines from 1969-87 and on 1973-86 light duty trucks. The dimension from the block surface to the hub is 6 15/16". The pilot shaft diameter is also 5/8". However, 1971-82 Corvettes have a short water pump with a larger 3/4" pilot shaft. Do not mix and match pulleys from short and long water pump engines because this will cause pulley misalignment. If you can fit your hand between the water pump and the block, You have a long style water pump.
