Anyone have a tip for a factory antenna?

My factory antenna taps off my drip rail at highway speed (80mph) I took a look at it and I think the teeth that are suppose to hold it in one position a chewed down. I already tried tightening it with no luck. Anyone have a cheap trick to fix it?

I relize that would work...just wondering if I could fix whats on it ....I do not use the radio anyway. I keep forgetting to look in the yards. Maybe if I drive it to the junk yard it would be a reminder on the way.

You could try to make new teeth with a triangular file, I have actually done that before.

My (factory?) am antenna looks like it's 6 or 7 feet high when extended! It looks ridiculous so I just collapse it down to it's lowest height.
