How would you fix this?

Please *note* I am just jumping into the frey with doing body work and welding etc.. I literally bought 125ez welder hobart not that long ago and have been doing some "practice" with it, so I am by no means a guru.

Looking at my rear window here. How would you fix this? Sand down? body filler to follow?

Thanks for the suggestions and sorry for my lack of inexperience.

Re: How would you fix this?

probably will get moved to the paint and body section.
I would sand blast it and weld in any patches needed. if you can't make them send us dims needed and we can fab and send them to you.

if they are just pitted after blasting and no holes blown through I would fill them in with allmetal

I had similar damage on my truck. I cleaned it up with a wire wheel, cut out and replaced the holes. Filled in with weld over some of the thinned area, then grinded it smooth, then let the body man take care of the rest.

When you cut it out spray some rust converter in areas you can't get to. I forgot the name of the rust converter but it starts with a p lol. Itll stop the rust from growing an spreading. But welding patch panels where the rust is bad is a good idea instead of bondoing the holes.

Re: How would you fix this?

Does anyone sell any patch panels for the lower rear window

I know mbgmike stated that he can fab some up and I might have to go that route depending on if no one sells them.

Any ideas?
